Lucozade drink is changing from April 2017

Lucozade will be reducing the sugar content of the drink by 50% as of April 2017.

During the change over both formulation will be on the shelf at the same time, the only way to tell the difference will be by looking at the total carbohydrates per 100ml.

Double the quantity of new Lucozade will need to be given as hypo treatment. Old formula Lucozade with the carbohydrate content of 17.2 / 100ml requires a 60ml dose for hypo treatment, and we advise the new reduced sugar Lucozade with the carbohydrate content of 9.2g / 100ml will need to be increased to 120ml per dose.
